About our Meetings

The Gateway Objectivists usually meet on the third Saturday of each month, alternating between someone's home and a restaurant. The meetings are informal and open to the public. Typically, the agenda consists of one of the following:

  • A live presentation by one of the members
  • A video of a debate or speech of relevance to Objectivism
  • A roundtable discussion on a topic chosen in advance
  • Book and journal readings/discussions
  • Movie night featuring members' favorite flicks

Following the presentation, we enjoy refreshments and engage in wide-ranging discussions, not limited to the topic of the evening. A list of past meeting topics is available on the Meeting Archives page

"My philosophy, in essence, is the concept of man as a heroic being, with his own happiness as the moral purpose of his life, with productive achievement as his noblest activity, and reason as his only absolute."

-- Ayn Rand
