GO Bits

This month, we'll try out a new idea for mini-discussions -- GO Bits. This involves a 5- or 10-minute talk/presentation on a topic of interest, preferably geared toward an Objectivist viewpoint. We could discuss a topic for a specified amount of time and then move on to the next person and their topic. An interesting story, suggestion for a book, interesting websites to visit or movie, or even a question for group discussion from an Objectivist angle.

For future GO Bits, we'll plan ahead and have the topics known before the meeting. This month, we only have Carl's topic beforehand: "Objectivist in Obamaland: The Art of Persuasion and De-Programming". But everyone else is encouraged to bring their mini topic, and well as snacks!

The meeting, on Saturday, May 21, at 7:00 p.m., will be at Carl and Wendi's house in Glen Carbon. Email mail@gatewayobjectivists.net for directions or more information.

"My philosophy, in essence, is the concept of man as a heroic being, with his own happiness as the moral purpose of his life, with productive achievement as his noblest activity, and reason as his only absolute."

-- Ayn Rand
