Discussion of Recent Books and/or Movies

This month, we'll have a discussion of books that we've read or movies that we've seen recently that would be interesting to us and/or actually had a hero. Everyone should bring their list of one or two items for discussion.

The meeting, on Saturday, January 16 at 7:00 p.m., will be at Lorie Bugby's house in West St. Louis County. Contact mail@gatewayobjectivists.net for directions or more information.

Lost Respect for Bill Nye the Science Guy

Jeff found this clip of Bill Nye facing off with Patrick Michaels. Among other anti-scientific comments, Nye defends scientists who delete emails, just because they're too busy to deal with being audited over freedom of information requests.

"My philosophy, in essence, is the concept of man as a heroic being, with his own happiness as the moral purpose of his life, with productive achievement as his noblest activity, and reason as his only absolute."
