June Meeting:
A Review of “Getting It Right”

At our June meeting, GO member Jeff Kiviat will present a review of Getting It Right, a new novel by William F. Buckley, Jr. On Amazon.com, Publishers Weekly describes the book as “a sentimental bildungsroman about a young man's initiation into the mid-century American conservative movement.”

We will also watch more episodes of Showtime’s entertaining investigative journalism show, “Penn & Teller: BullSh*t!”

Join us on Saturday, June 21, at the home of Joy & Jeff Kiviat, for this presentation. We will also have plenty of snacks and discussion. Call Joy & Jeff at (618) 288-2330 for directions or more information.

Will Atlas Shrug again?

Once more, a movie of Ayn Rand’s Atlas Shrugged is in development. The Objectivist Center reports that production company Crusader Entertainment, LLC, announced on May 12 that it had acquired the film rights to the novel. James V. Hart, who adapted Carl Sagan's science fiction novel Contact for the screen, has been hired to write the screenplay.
